Respected leaders, guests, and sisters, good afternoon!

I am delighted to meet friends in the beautiful city of Sanya, a coastal city with fresh air and picturesque scenery. I am grateful to the hosts and organizers for their meticulous arrangements, providing us with an excellent platform for communication. Ten years ago, President Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past decade, we have heard and witnessed the achievements of the Belt and Road, and how it has become a path of happiness benefiting various countries and the world. The Belt and Road connects roads, hearts, kinship, and dreams, changing countless lives and destinies over the years. During this period, Fuwah International Group responded to the Belt and Road Initiative, investing in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries, and practicing the goal of high-quality participation in the Belt and Road through practical actions.

Today's forum theme is ‘Sci-Technology Empowers a Beautiful World,’ which is an excellent topic. Many aspects of our lives today not only make the details of our lives better but also continuously update and change our concepts.

Here, I would like to share my mother’s and my attempts and efforts in this regard. Many friends here may know that my mother, Mrs. Chan Laiwa, has a lifelong passion for red sandalwood and has made outstanding contributions to the inheritance and promotion of Chinese red sandalwood culture. In 2006, by chance, a Nobel laureate in Physiology or Medicine from the United States visited the Red Sandalwood Museum. His scientific curiosity led him to take a keen interest in red sandalwood. After researching red sandalwood extracts, he discovered that red sandalwood contains various antioxidants.

These components have anti-aging, wrinkle-reducing, and nourishing effects on the skin. This discovery was a pleasant surprise and initiated a collaborative exploration between him and my mother, combining red sandalwood with cutting-edge skincare technology. After ten years of research and experimentation, in 2017, we finally launched the world’s first red sandalwood skincare product. In October 2019, we collaborated with the Palace Museum to release a high-end skincare series that combines millennium red sandalwood essence with the latest biotechnology.

To provide consumers with a better experience, in addition to striving for excellence in skincare quality, we have also innovatively designed the appearance of this product. The design exquisitely replicates the most beautiful visual sensation of snowfall in the Forbidden City. The bottle of the cosmetic product has an icy texture, presenting a tranquil beauty, symbolizing the implication of the Eastern Mausoleum. This design has enabled red sandalwood skincare products to reach the standard of international first-line brands in terms of quality and present a unique ancient Chinese palace culture in appearance. The product stunned the cosmetics industry upon its release and was well-received by the public. As people’s living standards improve and their cosmetics consciousness becomes more scientific, the public's demand for skincare products has gradually shifted from brand-focused to science-focused, evidence-based, and effective. The red sandalwood skincare product, using rare red sandalwood materials and cooperating with a Nobel laureate, represents a timely and effective practice in line with advancements.

In the future, we will continue to serve consumer needs, combine technology to continuously explore and innovate products, actively promote Chinese national high-end skincare brands to the world, and let more women from various countries experience the beauty of Eastern skincare culture.

I also hope that through the joint efforts of entrepreneurs in the Chinese cosmetics industry, Chinese beauty brands will take the central stage on the international platform. Thank you, everyone!
