Thank you, moderator, and thank you to all the leaders and friends here.
Good morning, everyone!

Assigned by Mr. Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and Director of the China Media Group, I am here today to participate in the Belt and Road Women’s Forum. This is a great opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions and exchange ideas with friends on various topics. Today, we gather to share and celebrate the unique role and substantial achievements of women in the decade-long journey of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Looking forward to a bright future of the Belt and Road Initiative, we focus on ‘She Power: jointly Building and Sharing a Better Life,’ thus promoting the common development and prosperity of human society. The Belt and Road Initiative has always been a key focus of China Media Group’s coverage. In our extensive reporting, we have highlighted the stories of front-line, those who have participated in and contributed to Belt and Road cooperation, from Africa, Asia, and around the world, many of whom are women. Additionally, our female reporters, including those from CGTN and other platforms, have been active globally, delivering outstanding and competent coverage.

The Hainan branch of China Media Group, permanently stationed in Hainan for reporting, has witnessed the significance of women in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, particularly in our coverage of the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Going forward, we plan to increase our focus on females who have participated in and contributed to Belt and Road cooperation, diversifying our topics and intensifying our reporting activities. Hainan has historically been a crucial point on the Maritime Silk Road. Our recent coverage on South China Sea archeology has unearthed many artifacts confirming this fact.

The legendary ancient woman, Huang Daopo, who lived from around 1245 to 1330, is a notable figure. She learned the Li ethnic group’s textile techniques in Yazhou, Hainan, a technology that plays an important role in the Belt and Road story. Today, the great power of women in the process of building the Belt and Road is even more evident. The Hainan branch of China Media Group will strengthen cooperation with all parties, including friends from Africa and Southeast Asia, overseas Chinese groups, friendly organizations, and women’s groups. We aim to plan topics and produce reports that enhance collaboration, sharing the stories of women in the Belt and Road and the friendly exchanges in the Hainan Free Trade Port.

We look forward to your support and cooperation.

I wish the 5th Belt and Road Women's Forum a great success. Thank you, everyone!
